On The Bell Stage for our 11th Festival
Friday Sept 14
Think about it! When five musicians with a combined 150 years of experience get together to make some music – not for money , not for accolades, but for the sheer enjoyment created by playing music they all love , well , it’s got to be something special.
Tim Simpson, Steve Beach, Stan Szymkow, Bruce Wilson and Jim VanSickle formed the X-Statics Rhythm ‘n Blues Revue to play some music that they wanted to play, a chance to stretch out and pay homage to some of the great rhythm ‘n blues artists of the 1960’s and 70’s that helped shape their own musical lives not so long ago.

Their passion for the performing arts eventually brought them across the country to study in Toronto and they’d soon discover that their talents would extend beyond dancing. Their newly-released original album titled Tea for Three hit #2 on both the iTunes and Nielsen Soundscan jazz charts in Canada.
